How the Patented Aerodynamic Nozzle Works in Refrigeration
It has long been known that a power savings in refrigeration will occur if the flash gas that results from expanding the refrigerant can be separated during the expansion process. However, a means for doing so has not existed. Texts on the subject of refrigeration refer to an ideal efficiency where removing of vapor as it is generated is wished for. And, there has been an acknowledgement that no such method exists. We think that the Aerodynamic Nozzle changes all of this. As is seen in our natural gas prototype animation, condensation occurs and is simultaneously separated from the remaining vapor due to the two phases, with their dramatically different weights, being exposed to the massive gravitational forces of the nozzle curve.
